“Exceptional day! Be prepared for a lot of walking. Low score for the guide, since this is self guided. The venues have very limited snacks. Have cash at Vesuvius, as the restaurant there only takes cash. Herculaneum has a few options outside the museum, located in the carpark, and they take card and cash. Pompeii has various options both inside and outside the ruins. There are also water taps located throughout. Their toilet facilities are the cleanest of the three”

“the pick-up was prompt from near Naples train station. Bruno got us there quickly. He then told us to return in 2 hours for collection. Again, he was prompt and speedy. This excursion is basically just paying extra for the taxi service rather than having to get a train & shuttle. Was it convenient? Yes!
