“Day trip through the volcano national park was excellent, Hugh our guide was clearly enthusiastic about his job. Was slightly disappointed to not be able to walk through the lava tube, this has been closed for over a year and this should have been noted on the site. Would like to see a tour that does not involve funneling tourists to nut farms, coffee farms, chocolate factories etc. Helicopter part was actually very uncomfortable, with myself being forced up against the door and one of the other tourists partially sitting on my lap in the front. “Very disappointing experience due to an unfair cancellation policy. We were informed that because of weather conditions, only certain parts of the island would be visible, which was completely understandable and acceptable for us. However, when other tourists in the group decided to cancel, our helicopter tour was automatically canceled as well — even though we clearly wanted to continue. It’s not fair that one part of the group can decide for everyone else. A better approach would be to allow the tour to go ahead for those who still want it, offer partial refunds, or clearly explain from the start that visibility depends on weather and luck. Waking up…”

“I highly recommend this tour. Eventhough the weather wasn’t the greatest we had amazing views. The helicopter pilot was very professional and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the experience and would use this company again. The only thing I was disappointed in was that we had one person that was sick so couldn’t make it last minute and they wouldn’t give me a refund. It’s an expensive ride and 5 people still went so not sure why they wouldn’t give us a refund for the 1 person.”

We were fortunate to see a volcanic eruption whilst on the trip which made it extra special. As a result of the eruption, traffic in the Volcano National Park was horrendous which meant we didn’t get to see all the sights advertised, however this was completely out of the control of the tour company.
